Kingdom Come: Deliverance — The Board Game Announced: Massive Tabletop Adaptation Revealed With Open World and 700+ Cards
Kingdom Come: Deliverance — The Board Game, a large-scale tabletop adaptation of Warhorse Studios' acclaimed RPG, will bring the medieval world of 1403 Bohemia to the table when it launches in early 2027. Czech Games Edition has opened pre-orders for the ambitious project, which aims to recreate the setting, atmosphere, and core mechanics of the original video game.
Designed by Tomáš Holek and Vlaada Chvátil in their first-ever collaboration, the board game supports 1 to 4 players and offers both solo and competitive modes. Each session lasts around 90 minutes or more, with players starting as impoverished peasants lacking reputation or skills. Over the course of five in-game days, participants can choose their own path — developing their characters as orators, archers, or thieves, and shaping their story through completed quests and skill progression.
The main map board faithfully recreates locations from the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance video game, offering an open world where players set their own goals, create unique narratives, and influence the course of events. Deck-building mechanics and card-based skill checks are central to gameplay, while survival elements like eating to avoid starvation add another layer of challenge. Side quests — often issued in taverns — and dozens of NPCs with a branching storyline provide high replayability.
Inside the box, players will find over 700 cards, 164 miniatures, 75 coin tokens, 55 side quest cards, and a variety of other components. The game is fully standalone, requiring no mobile companion app — everything needed for play is included in the physical package, a decision the designers say ensures accessibility on any tabletop surface.
Pre-orders are available now, with prices ranging from €149 to €199 depending on the edition and retailer. Orders will be accepted until August 16, 2026, but the print run may be limited due to high demand. The price point has already sparked discussion among fans about whether the scale and content justify the cost.
Do you think the €149-199 price tag for Kingdom Come: Deliverance — The Board Game is justified by its scale and components, or is it too steep even for dedicated fans?
