Alkimia Interactive has released Patch 1.0.3 for Gothic 1 Remake on all platforms. This latest update targets technical issues, improves overall stability, and tweaks gameplay balance based on community feedback.
Key fixes and improvements:
- Resolved crashes and improved overall stability;
- Fixed audio glitches that occurred while swimming;
- NPCs will no longer teleport right in front of the player;
- Fixed daily routines for defeated characters;
- Barrier damage is now applied correctly;
- Updated character entries in the glossary;
- Fixed several UI lockups during text input;
- Fixed crossbow reload animations;
- Guild alignment now loads correctly from save files;
- Fixed a bug in the "Search for the Focus Stones" quest;
- Fixed a game-breaking bug in the mercenary promotion quest;
- Fixed a game-breaking bug in the "Test of Fire" quest;
- Increased damage for Milten’s brazier and Stonehenge encounters;
- Improved pathfinding and navigation for large creatures;
- Tweaked enemy AI for better combat positioning;
- Characters will no longer clip through walls after being defeated;
- Improved facial animations for select characters;
- Optimized quest structures to prevent progression blockers;
- Improved game performance during long play sessions;
- Added an in-game patch notes screen;
- Increased Minecrawler damage in the final boss battle;
- Buffed stats for the Ice Shadowbeast.
