Apex Legends x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Collaboration Announced, Teasers Shared Ahead of July 14 Event

Respawn Entertainment has unveiled a major crossover event: Apex Legends will team up with the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for a special collaboration starting July 14, 2026. Teaser images were shared on X (formerly Twitter) by both the Apex Legends and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners official accounts, fueling excitement and speculation among fans. The announcement was first posted by Respawn.

As part of the event, Apex Legends will introduce themed skins inspired by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners characters. Confirmed so far: Sparrow will receive a David skin, and Axle will get a Lucy skin. Fans are also speculating about a possible Adam Smasher skin for Revenant, given the character's similar design and popularity.

Dataminers have discovered new voice lines in the game files referencing cyberpsychosis — a concept from the Cyberpunk universe in which characters lose control due to excessive cybernetic implants. This has led to speculation that a temporary cyberpsychosis gameplay mechanic could be added for the event, potentially bringing a new twist to Apex Legends matches.

While teasers and leaks have surfaced, the full lineup of new skins and additional content for the collaboration has not yet been officially revealed. The event is also rumored to coincide with the release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2, which is expected to premiere in fall 2026.

Apex Legends remains free-to-play and is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. Support for the game on Nintendo Switch will end on August 4, 2026, but Switch 2 players will continue to have access. In May 2026, Apex Legends reached 325,000 concurrent players on Steam, its highest player count since 2024.
