New Apex Legends x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Trailer Showcases Lucy and David

Respawn Entertainment has officially announced a crossover event that will bring Night City from Cyberpunk 2077 to Apex Legends from July 14 to August 4, 2026. The E-District map will be overhauled with neon-lit skyscrapers, holographic koi, and glitchy signage, immersing players in the Cyberpunk universe.

Two new Cyberware mods inspired by Cyberpunk technology debut during the event: Sandevistan and Blackwall Breach. Sandevistan allows players to dash rapidly in any direction while recharging shields, with the ability to chain two dashes before landing. Blackwall Breach lets players phase into the Net for repositioning, then unleash an EMP attack that cracks enemy shields and reveals their locations.

Overusing these cybernetic enhancements can trigger Cyberpsychosis — a temporary state granting extreme movement speed and powerful melee attacks, but disabling weapons, abilities, shields, and ordnance. Players can reverse Cyberpsychosis by using Immunoblocker Syringes or finding Immunoblocker Caches scattered throughout the map.

Alisa Rastorgueva, Apex Legends art director, explained the design process behind the crossover skins:

Players can unlock eight new Legend skins inspired by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners characters, including Lucy (Axle), David Martinez (Sparrow), Rebecca (Rampart), Royce (Gibraltar), Lizzy Wizzy (Ash), and Panam (Loba). Eight weapon skins will also be available for the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301, and Kraber. A Mythic Skippy Alternator skin, modeled after the talking gun from Cyberpunk 2077, features unique visuals and voice effects.

The event's limited-time Cyberpunk Collection will be available in the Store tab from July 14 to August 18, offering these skins and more. Players can earn Eddies during the event to spend in the Reward Shop, which includes Epic Valkyrie and Mirage skins. Additionally, two Nessie plushes inspired by Lucy and Rebecca will be available for pre-order via Youtooz from July 15 to August 18.

Several gameplay updates will launch alongside the event: Wildcard map rotations are now set to 90 minutes, Bot Royale Evolved lobbies have been reduced to one-player squads with broader matchmaking, and recent patches have improved stability and addressed FPS drops.

Important: Support for Apex Legends on the original Nintendo Switch will end on August 4, 2026, but the game will continue to be supported on Nintendo Switch 2.
