Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 Re-Releases May Lose Classic Modes on PS5

If the leaked trophy lists are accurate, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 re-releases of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 won't be straight one-to-one ports. The games are due in July, and Activision has confirmed that they are ports, not remasters, while Treyarch said the original games are being brought to PlayStation.

According to the trophy lists that surfaced before launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops appears to be missing Wager Matches and Theater Mode on PS4 and PS5. One of the clearest signs comes from the trophy In The Money, which was tied to Wager Matches in the original release but now shows up as removed in the port.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 also seems to be affected. Its leaked trophy list appears to be missing League Play, even though Treyarch said the re-releases will include campaign, Zombies, and multiplayer.

ForwardLeaks highlighted one of the changes in a screenshot posted to X, showing the trophy text for In The Money with the ported version marked as removed.

Treyarch also said that Iron Galaxy will handle the porting work. The studio's comments and the leaked trophies together have left players wondering whether the PlayStation versions will keep the full feature set of the originals.
