Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Both titles are currently 50% off at $20 each until August 6.
These new releases include the full single-player campaign, multiplayer, and the iconic Zombies mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is a first-person military shooter that shifts focus away from large-scale frontlines to follow CIA operative Alex Mason through covert Cold War operations. Its direct sequel, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, features a non-linear narrative split across two different eras. Both shooters remain highly acclaimed by critics and fans alike.
The original Call of Duty: Black Ops launched on November 9, 2010, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, and PC. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 followed on November 13, 2012, releasing on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
In other franchise news, the mobile shooter Call of Duty: Mobile recently kicked off a crossover event with the RPG Persona 5.
