Sony Reveals July PS Plus Extra Lineup Featuring Rise of the Ronin, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and More

PlayStation has unveiled the July lineup for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. The catalog is set to receive several major titles, including Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Rise of the Ronin, and the newly released co-op firefighting game Firefighting Simulator: Ignite. Premium members will also gain access to two PS2-era classics: Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit).
One of the biggest additions this month is Ubisoft's Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Players will explore the previously unseen Western Frontier of Pandora, step into the role of a Na'vi, and fight back against the RDA corporation. The game joins the service on July 21.
On the same day, subscribers in most regions will also get access to Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, a co-op firefighting experience powered by Unreal Engine 5 that lets players battle intense blazes alongside friends or an AI-controlled crew.
Another highlight of the lineup is Team Ninja's Rise of the Ronin. The open-world action RPG takes players to 19th-century Japan during a time of war, political upheaval, and social unrest. The game joined the catalog on July 15 in the US and UK, while Japanese players will gain access on July 16.
The rest of the July lineup includes:
- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind (PS5, PS4) — July 28;
- Dying Light (PS4) — July 28;
- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (PS5) — July 28;
- Snow Bros. Wonderland (PS5) — July 28.
PS Plus Premium subscribers are also getting two classic titles. Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy puts players in control of powerful psychic abilities such as telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and mind control in a conspiracy-driven action game, while Indigo Prophecy from Quantic Dream brings back the acclaimed supernatural thriller known outside North America as Fahrenheit. Both titles arrive on July 21.
Sony is continuing to test a new rollout format for Game Catalog additions in select regions, meaning availability dates may vary depending on the country. For most subscribers, the full July lineup will be available on July 21.
Meanwhile, some PlayStation fans are reportedly boycotting PS Plus following Sony's decision to phase out physical game releases.
