Modder runs GTA 3 inside a GTA: San Andreas texture

DryxioGTA's latest GTA experiment turns a TV in CJ's yard into a host for GTA 3, which is running inside a texture in GTA: San Andreas on July 16, 2026. In the video, the second game appears on a virtual TV screen in CJ's yard, and the modder makes clear that this is not fan art or simple editing, but one game actually running inside another game's texture.

The clip itself is titled "gta III running in a gta, and DryxioGTA repeats that line in the description. That framing matters here, because it underlines the point of the experiment: this is a technical oddity, not just a visual joke.

At the time of publication, the video had 7,722 views and 543 likes. For such a narrow and unusual mod, that is a strong response, suggesting that people were quick to notice how absurd the setup looks once GTA 3 starts playing on the tiny in-game screen.

DryxioGTA does not seem done with the idea, either. He already says that the next step could be Vice City running inside GTA 3, which itself is running inside GTA: San Andreas. If that happens, the project would add yet another layer to an already bizarre chain of games inside games.
