Henderson Says Ubisoft Is Preparing a Watch Dogs Legion Reissue for 2026

Ubisoft's reported Watch Dogs Legion reissue is said to be far along, with Henderson claiming the project has already moved past content planning and into the final stretch ahead of a late 2026 release. He says the expanded version may end up feeling closer to a director's cut than a simple remaster.

According to Henderson, the new edition is already past the content stage: the additional missions and fresh material have reportedly been completed. He also said the reissue received extra motion-capture sessions, which lines up with his earlier description of the project as something like a director's cut.

One rumored addition is a night mode, although details on how it would work are not yet available. Even so, the idea of Ubisoft bringing new activities to Watch Dogs Legion suggests this will be more than a simple re-release of the base game.

Henderson also said Ubisoft is working on similar upgrades for other older games. In his report, he tied that strategy to the publisher's need to make up for a shortage of new Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, and Ghost Recon entries.

There is also one important correction to keep in mind: a rumor about a Watch Dogs trilogy reissue for Nintendo was denied by billbil-kun. For now, the report points specifically to Watch Dogs Legion and its own expanded edition, not a wider trilogy release.
