Microsoft Reveals the Next Wave of Game Pass Titles, Including Halo: Campaign Evolved and Beast of Reincarnation
Microsoft has unveiled the second wave of games coming to XBOX Game Pass in late July and early August. Subscribers can look forward to several major day-one releases as well as a number of notable additions to the library, with Halo: Campaign Evolved and Game Freak's Beast of Reincarnation standing out as the biggest highlights.
Available today, July 21, The Planet Crafter (PC, XBOX Series X/S, and Cloud) joins the catalog. This terraforming simulator tasks players with transforming a hostile planet into a world fit for human life.
On July 22, the co-op horror game Shift at Midnight (PC, XBOX Series X/S, and Cloud) arrives on the service. The game combines investigation and survival mechanics, challenging players to identify dangerous creatures hiding among customers while surviving randomly generated night shifts.
The following day, July 23, Hell is Us (PC, XBOX Series X/S, and Cloud) joins the lineup. This dark action-adventure game takes players to Hadea, a nation torn apart by civil war and a supernatural disaster. The developers are emphasizing exploration without traditional waypoints or map markers.
One of the month's biggest releases is Halo: Campaign Evolved (PC, Console, Handheld, and Cloud), launching on Game Pass on July 28. It is a modern remake of the Halo: Combat Evolved campaign, rebuilt from the ground up. Players can expect upgraded visuals, refined controls, four-player co-op, three new missions, an expanded arsenal of weapons, and new enemy types.
Mistfall Hunter (PC, XBOX Series X/S, and Cloud) arrives on July 30. The dark fantasy extraction ARPG lets players gather loot, battle monsters, and escape dangerous expeditions with their hard-earned rewards. The game can be played solo or cooperatively.
On July 31, the library will expand with Corsair Cove (PC), a city-building strategy game centered around a pirate haven. Players will develop their settlement, build fleets, manage production chains, and keep a rowdy crew of pirates under control.
August 4 brings two more additions. The first is an enhanced re-release of the classic shooters Heretic and Hexen (PC, Console, Handheld, and Cloud), updated for modern platforms. The second is Beast of Reincarnation (PC, XBOX Series X/S, Handheld, and Cloud) from Game Freak, the studio best known for the Pokémon franchise. The action RPG blends real-time and turn-based combat and follows the journey of a young woman named Emma and her loyal dog Koo through a post-apocalyptic Japan.
Microsoft also highlighted some recent additions to the service. Earlier this month, Game Pass welcomed the horror title Buckshot Roulette and the stylish action game Denshattack!, which draws inspiration from Japanese culture and street gangs.
The company also announced that subscribers will receive in-game rewards for Zenless Zone Zero on July 29, including bonuses tied to the game's second anniversary celebration.
As usual, several titles will be leaving the service. On July 31, the Game Pass library will lose Back to the Dawn, Celeste, Crusader Kings 3, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, My Friendly Neighborhood, Rain World, Sniper Elite Resistance, and Whiskerwood. Subscribers can purchase these games at a discount before they leave the catalog.
Sony recently revealed its own latest batch of games coming to PS Plus Extra as well.
