Battlefield 6 got a strong lift from Season 4, with the update's new Tsuru Reef map and naval battles helping the shooter reach 81,745 concurrent Steam players in the last 24 hours. That marks its best result in five months and its highest peak since mid-February.

The surge in activity is tied to the new season, which added the Tsuru Reef map, naval battles, and new weapons. Tsuru Reef is described as a large map built around naval combat, making it the centerpiece of the update.

Season 4 also boosted Battlefield 6's presence on Twitch, where the game reached a peak of 51,500 viewers. The update is clearly pulling attention back to the shooter both as a game to play and as one to watch.

There is more on the way later in the season. Battlefield Studios plans to bring back Wake Island, and a crossover with the Top Gun film series is also set to begin.

Battlefield 6 officially launched on October 10, 2025. The game is now available on PC (via Steam, EA App, and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Developed by Battlefield Studios, the title is published by Electronic Arts. Back in April, media outlets reported that Christopher McQuarrie and Michael B. Jordan are teaming up to develop a Battlefield film adaptation.

Still, not everyone is sold on the new map: if Tsuru Reef is a little too open for some players, does that hurt the appeal of Season 4?
