First Trailer for EA Sports FC 27 Drops, Revealing Three Distinct Editions

EA SPORTS FC used its reveal trailer to detail EA Sports FC 27's editions, with the new Ultimate Plus tier sitting at the top of the lineup. The most expensive version is priced at $149.99, while the Standard Edition costs $69.99, making the new premium option more than twice as expensive as the base release.

The official reveal trailer says EA Sports FC 27 will offer Standard, Ultimate, and Ultimate Plus editions. Buyers of the Ultimate and Ultimate Plus versions will get early access on 18 September, while Standard Edition owners will have to wait for the full release date.

Ultimate Plus is packed with extras aimed at players who want as much as possible up front. EA says the edition includes Premium Passes for Seasons 1 through 5, up to 10,000 FC Points delivered across five monthly drops, an 85+ Overall Icon, a Hall of FUT player pick, an additional Player Evolution slot, and pre-order challenges.

The premium bundle also includes bonuses for EA Sports FC 26, such as Player Evo and Stat Evolution rewards. On top of that, the official trailer lists The Grounds as a new game mode, adding another detail to the game's reveal.

EA SPORTS FC also put Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé together on the Ultimate Plus cover. The edition is available only until 31 August 2026, which means the priciest version has a limited pre-order window.

EA Sports FC 27 is set to launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Switch, and Switch 2.

Notably, famed soccer star Lionel Messi recently starred in a promotional video for the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Is a $149.99 Ultimate Plus edition too much for EA Sports FC 27?
