Marvel Tokon's first DLC character is Phoenix Cyclops, coming this fall

Phoenix Cyclops will bring the Phoenix Five version of Scott Summers to MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, complete with Optic Blasts, hand-to-hand combat abilities, and the Phoenix Force. Arc System Works revealed him as the game's first playable post-launch DLC character, and he is scheduled to arrive in Fall 2026, with the full game set to release on August 6, 2026, on PS5 and PC.

Takeshi Yamanaka said the team wanted to highlight one of Marvel's most iconic X-Men leaders and give him a bold new look with the fiery cosmic power of the Phoenix Force. He also noted that more will be shared later about how these abilities are incorporated into the character's gameplay.

Access to Phoenix Cyclops and the rest of the Year 1 DLC roster will require the Year 1 Characters and Stage Pass. That pass is included in the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game. Meanwhile, the open beta for MARVEL Tōkon runs from July 24 through July 26 on PlayStation 5 consoles and PC.
