Ubisoft said Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced beat the company's full-year expectations for the remake after only two weeks on sale. Ubisoft added that the game sold 3.5 million copies in its first 14 days, even though it had originally expected that level of sales over the remake's first year.
The publisher also said the game reached a historical proportion of franchise sales on PC, with the platform's strongest performance led by the US and Chinese markets. In addition, the game peaked at around 105,000 concurrent players on Steam.
Ubisoft said Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is the highest-rated Assassin's Creed title since the original Black Flag. The company described the early July launch by Vantage Studios as an encouraging proof point for the project.
The strong launch of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced in early July by Vantage Studios is an encouraging proof point. The game is the highest-rated Assassin's Creed title since the original Black Flag, and we are very pleased with the praise it received from players. Two weeks in, the title has already exceeded the annual expectations we had. I would like to warmly thank the teams whose talent and dedication brought it to life.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a full-blown official remake of the 2013 action-adventure classic starring Edward Kenway, released on July 9, 2026. Built from the ground up on the latest version of the Anvil engine, the game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Do you think Ubisoft will now push more remakes after Black Flag Resynced beat a full-year target in two weeks?
