Free-to-Play Left 4 Dead-Inspired Shooter Now Available on Steam
The co-op zombie shooter Codename CURE II has officially launched on Steam. Since the game is free-to-play, any user can add it to their library right now.
Codename CURE II is a free-to-play cooperative shooter where players step into the shoes of an elite military squad tasked with containing and eliminating zombie hordes in infected zones. While capturing the spirit of the original game, the sequel jumps to a modern engine. The biggest new additions are procedurally generated maps and a smart AI system that dynamically adapts to the squad's playstyle. Players can choose from five specialized character classes, each featuring unique gear. The developers have also introduced a realistic gore and dismemberment system alongside deep weapon customization. The project currently sits at an 88% positive rating on Steam.
It is worth noting that the Epic Games Store recently kicked off a free giveaway for the indie title Foretales.
