The Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls open beta, which began on July 24 on PlayStation 5 and PC, is already causing headaches for PC players. Arc System Works said it is investigating the game's performance problems and will share an update as soon as it has more information.

Players reported severe frame drops, constant stuttering, and other PC issues during the beta. Some said the game stutters even on powerful computers, while others reported that they cannot change graphics settings at all.

The open beta also triggered Easy Anti-Cheat errors on Steam Deck and Linux systems. According to player reports, the game can fail to start with a message saying that no anti-cheat module was found for the platform, which has frustrated users trying to run the beta on those systems.

Arc System Works also shared community-recommended troubleshooting steps for PC users, including Shader Warm-Up, fullscreen mode, and disabling overlays. The studio separately posted more troubleshooting steps, and some players said the anti-cheat error can be reduced by deleting the eos_eac_setup folder in the game's Prerequisites directory and verifying game files through Steam.

We're aware of the gameplay and performance issues currently affecting the PC version of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Our team is actively investigating these issues and working on a fix. We'll share an update as soon as we have more information.
