The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake gets ESRB rating for Switch 2

Nintendo updated the official product page for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2, and the listing now shows an ESRB rating of E10+. The rating also confirms that the game already has a Nintendo Store page, while Nintendo continues to list the remake for 2026 and as exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.

The ESRB entry cites Animated Blood and Fantasy Violence, but the Switch 2 version does not include Suggestive Themes. That is the clearest difference from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, which also carried an E10+ rating but did list Suggestive Themes.

Nintendo has already described the project as a ground-up remake with rebuilt HD visuals, updated character models, and improved performance, while preserving the core gameplay. The company also previously said it will feature

The remake was announced during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, so the new rating suggests the release window is still moving forward. For now, Nintendo has only confirmed 2026, and the latest update is another sign that the Switch 2 version is being prepared for launch.
