Geralt's voice actor spotted in the recording booth — looks like he's already working on The Witcher 3's new expansion
Doug Cockle, the iconic voice of Geralt of Rivia, has revealed that he's already recording dialogue for the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past expansion. The actor shared a photo from the recording studio, though CD Projekt Red has yet to officially confirm his involvement in the project.
Cockle is once again lending his voice to Geralt of Rivia, a role he has played throughout all three mainline The Witcher games. He also reprised the character in Netflix's animated film The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, making his return for the expansion feel like a natural fit.
Cockle jokingly captioned the photo:
Oh don’t mind me… just visiting an old friend… and of course Roach.
The official The Witcher account replied with: "The Witcher and Roach back on the Path."
CD Projekt Red announced back in May that The Witcher 3 would receive a third expansion, Songs of the Past. The DLC is scheduled to launch next year, with its official presentation set for August 25 during the opening night of gamescom. The first gameplay footage is also expected to be shown at the event.
Voice recording is already underway, but is this definitely for Songs of the Past, or is CD Projekt Red still keeping some surprises under wraps?
