Microsoft has unveiled the first wave of Xbox Game Pass titles arriving this August. Subscribers can look forward to several major releases, including Beast of Reincarnation, PowerWash Simulator 2, Date Everything!, Cricket 26, Mio: Memories in Orbit, and more. On top of that, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members will get early access to the Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta later this week.
Available today, August 4, are the enhanced editions of Heretic + Hexen, along with Game Freak's brand-new action RPG Beast of Reincarnation, launching day one on Game Pass.
Two more games join the service on August 6. Monsters are Coming! is a tower-survivor roguelite where players defend a constantly moving city from endless monster hordes, while PowerWash Simulator 2 expands on the original with new locations, upgraded equipment, and both solo and co-op play.
August 11 brings three more additions. Bounty Star combines mech combat with farming and base-building mechanics. The quirky dating simulator Date Everything! lets players romance just about anything in their home—from their bed to a smoke alarm. On the same day, Grounded 2 receives its biggest update yet, Into The Abyss, which will also be available through Game Pass.
On August 12, Ball x Pit joins the lineup, blending brick-breaking gameplay, roguelite mechanics, and base-building as players fend off enemy hordes using ricocheting balls.
Four more titles arrive on August 13. Cricket 26 introduces a new management career mode, an expanded Ashes mode, and improved gameplay systems. The atmospheric metroidvania Mio: Memories in Orbit also joins the service, alongside factory-building sim Sandustry, which launches day one on Game Pass, and several other new additions.
The final announced title, Egging On, arrives on August 18. The unusual platformer puts players in control of a fragile egg as they jump, roll, and climb through a series of dangerous environments in search of freedom.
Microsoft also reminded subscribers that Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can jump into the Gears of War: E-Day Early Access Open Beta starting August 6. Players will be able to try the brand-new Horde Siege PvE mode, featuring larger maps, more players, and bigger-scale battles against the Horde.
In addition to the new games, EA Play members will receive a 10-hour trial of EA Sports Madden NFL 27, as well as a free content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone, including Operator skins, Weapon Blueprints, a Finishing Move, an emote, and other in-game rewards.
Microsoft also confirmed that Menace (Game Preview), Atlas Fallen, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and Firewatch will leave the Game Pass library on August 15. Subscribers can purchase these titles at a discount before they're removed.
Previously, it was also reported that Microsoft is considering ending day-one Game Pass releases.
