Marvin Mode, Photo Mode, and Mod Support Are Coming to Gothic 1 Remake

During the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2026, developer Alkimia Interactive dropped a new trailer for Gothic 1 Remake, revealing a lineup of upcoming features.
In the video, the team thanked players for the game's successful launch and confirmed they are actively working on fresh content. The developers plan to introduce alternative progression mechanics, Marvin Mode—which brings back the cheat console from the original game—and a dedicated photo mode for capturing high-quality screenshots. Additionally, full modding tools will be made available, allowing the community to build custom modifications. There is currently no release date locked in for this new content.
Gothic 1 Remake is a modern reimagining of the iconic 2001 RPG, released on June 5, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Built on Unreal Engine, the project faithfully recreates the gritty atmosphere of the Mining Colony while delivering updated visuals, overhauled mechanics, and expanded lore. The game recently received its version 1.0.4 update.
