Crimson Desert has received patch 1.17.00. Here is what it fixed
Pearl Abyss has rolled out update 1.17.00 for Crimson Desert, bringing a broader cleanup pass that also touches Desperate Rescue progress, headgear effects, movement, and map behavior. Among the fixes is the Quick Slot bug that kept swapping in another item after players consumed food, a problem that had been disrupting combat flow for weeks.
The update does more than address that long-running nuisance. Pearl Abyss also corrected progress tracking for the Desperate Rescue challenge and repaired special headgear effects that did not activate properly in specific situations. Patch 1.17.00 further addresses several technical problems affecting movement and the map. The studio says it fixed overlapping footstep sounds, animation stuttering while the player was moving, icons for unobtainable treasure chests appearing on the map, and trade routes showing up in an abnormal way. Localization was also part of the changelog. Pearl Abyss said it fixed various localization errors and improved localization quality across all supported languages.
Crimson Desert officially launched on March 19, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Earlier, a hacker going by the handle voices38 bypassed the Denuvo protection system in Crimson Desert.
