The PC Version of The Division Resurgence Bombs on Steam with Mixed Reviews

The PC version of the free-to-play shooter The Division Resurgence, which launched on Steam earlier this August, has run into a wall of player backlash. The Ubisoft-developed title currently sits at a "Mixed" 45% approval rating on Valve's platform.

Players are widely criticizing the game as a rushed mobile port that was hastily slapped together for PC. Negative reviews heavily target the game's aggressive loot caps, an abundance of tedious "dailies," and artificial XP gating once available activities are cleared. Compounding the frustration are prominent technical issues, including login errors, clunky mouse controls, and frequent crashes.

The Division Resurgence is a free-to-play, third-person tactical RPG shooter from Ubisoft. Set in a fractured New York City, it delivers a standalone, fully canon storyline running parallel to the events of the original The Division. Players step into the boots of a Strategic Homeland Division agent. While the project was initially developed exclusively for mobile devices, the PC version underwent a stint in Early Access prior to its full release.
