Palworld Update 1.101.283 for Version 1.0.3 Brings Major Balance Changes

Pocketpair Inc. released Palworld version 1.0.3 on August 11, and on consoles it appears as Palworld update 1.101.283. The patch shifts progression earlier across several systems, with some technologies unlocking much sooner than before.

The biggest adjustments affect Jetragon-related content. Pocketpair lowered the unlock level for some of those technologies from 79 to 70, while the Aquatic Construction Kit now opens at level 23 instead of level 66.

The update also reworks World Tree rewards and one of its consumables. World Tree Holy Water now weighs 0.1 instead of 1, lasts longer, and has been added to rewards from World Tree expeditions, World Tree fishing, and the Large Fishing Pond.

Pocketpair also touched the building and resource economy. The patch reduced the construction costs of the Crude Oil Extractor, High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor, and Large Power Generator, while increasing the crude oil production speed of the two extractors. It also doubled the amount of Fiber obtained from trees and added a server setting called bAllowEnemyCampSpawnNearBaseCamp, which disables suppression of enemy camp spawns near player base camps.

The update is not limited to balance tuning. Pocketpair says it fixed crash issues on PS5 and on Xbox One and Xbox One S, including a PS5 crash tied to parental controls and an Xbox crash in a boss area. The patch also addresses co-op and dedicated-server problems such as incorrect client lighting, stuttering during The World Tree cutscene, and unintended Fast Travel during Tower Boss battles.
