Crimson Desert Devs Detail How the Game Has Changed Since Launch
Pearl Abyss has shared an update on the post-launch development of Crimson Desert, which was released in March this year. The developers published a special infographic highlighting the biggest changes introduced through updates so far, along with a dedicated video showcasing how the game has evolved since launch.
According to the developers, Crimson Desert has received 17 patches since release. Together, they have added more than 20 new features and types of content, 120 pets and mounts or other forms of transportation, as well as over 70 costumes, pieces of gear, and other items.
Some of the most notable changes include expanded personal storage, new transportation options, additional skills for the protagonist, puzzle improvements, new difficulty settings, and extra interface features. The team has also worked on distant-object rendering, controls, and various farming-related systems.
A considerable amount of new content has been added as well. Crimson Desert now features new bosses for repeat battles, additional hand-to-hand combat skills, new pets, mounts, and special vehicles. The developers have also introduced mini-games such as fishing, added new costumes and equipment, expanded housing features, and improved the trading system.
Some patches have focused on smaller quality-of-life improvements. These include controller customization, the ability to save between battles, additional pet-related content, and various tweaks designed to make exploration and everyday gameplay more convenient.
The developers thanked players for their continued support and noted that many of the changes were introduced in response to community feedback.
