Pearl Abyss Targets a Late-2028 Release for DokeV
Pearl Abyss said DokeV has already moved past foundational system setup and is now in the phase of expanding content creation and validating its core gameplay loop. The company said it is using development assets and production experience from previous projects to keep the game progressing smoothly.
Pearl Abyss also said development resources are being progressively reallocated to DokeV as patch operations for Crimson Desert stabilize. That shift suggests the studio is preparing to give the game more attention after years of slow updates.
In its own words, the company said:
We are targeting a launch in the second half of 2028, and both information releases and marketing initiatives will be executed in phases according to our development milestones.
The studio added that it wants to sustain user engagement and momentum all the way to launch rather than simply move the reveal earlier.
DokeV was first announced in 2019. Pearl Abyss describes it as an open-world action-adventure game with bright, distinct visuals and dynamic action, built around a vibrant world.
Will DokeV's 2027 marketing push be enough to keep interest alive until its 2028 launch?
