Steam Freebie: Acclaimed Adventure Game Deponia Is Free to Claim Right Now

Publisher Daedalic Entertainment has launched a limited-time promotion on Steam, allowing everyone to add the critically acclaimed point-and-click adventure game Deponia to their library for free.

Deponia tells the story of Rufus, an eccentric inventor who dreams of escaping his trash-heap home planet of Deponia for Elysium, a luxurious floating city in the sky. The game received high praise for its distinct art style, dark humor, and clever puzzles. The success of the original spawned three sequels: Chaos on Deponia, Goodbye Deponia, and Deponia Doomsday. Additionally, a survival-focused spin-off, Surviving Deponia, is slated for release by the end of 2026.

As a reminder, the Epic Games Store also recently kicked off its own free giveaway for the sci-fi adventure title Caravan SandWitch, which runs until August 20.
