ARC Raiders Sells Over 16 Million Copies as Its Biggest Update Yet Approaches

Nexon has announced that ARC Raiders has surpassed 16.3 million copies sold worldwide, while Embark Studios is already preparing Frozen Trail — the game's biggest update since launch, set to arrive on October 8.
According to Nexon, ARC Raiders sold another 800,000 copies during the latest quarter. The company noted, however, that sales are beginning to level off more than nine months after launch, meaning the focus is now shifting away from major sales spikes and toward long-term support for the game.
Frozen Trail will introduce a new map, new missions, and new threats. The centerpiece of the update is a snow-covered area at the foot of a mountain that players will be tasked with exploring. It will also bring a major new ARC operation aimed at experienced Raiders.
Embark Studios is also promising new ARC enemies, ranging from a small nuisance to a massive machine capable of stopping players dead in their tracks. The update will introduce a new type of hideout for Raiders — Outpost — while also reworking the skill tree and Raider Decks.
Finally, the developers will continue improving matchmaking, anti-cheat, stability, and quality-of-life features in ARC Raiders.
