The Blood of Dawnwalker Gets a New Gameplay Trailer, Revealing Key Mechanics
Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves have released a new gameplay overview trailer for The Blood of Dawnwalker, giving a closer look at the dark fantasy RPG's setting, combat, and time-limited structure ahead of its September 3, 2026 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game already has a Steam page.
The trailer places Vale Sangora at the center, a dark fantasy region where the story follows Coen. By day, he is human; by night, he becomes a vampire, and that split shapes much of the game's structure.
The new footage also introduces the Vrakhiris, the vampire faction ruling the region. Time is another central system: Coen has 30 days and 30 nights to save his family, and simply exploring Vale Sangora does not automatically move the clock forward.
Certain quests and actions will still consume part of that limited time, which means players will have to choose their path carefully.
Combat mixes Coen's human abilities with supernatural powers, including blades, vampire claws, and magic. The system is built to support different playstyles, and the game also offers two distinct gameplay loops.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is also set up as an open-world game, so there will be plenty to explore beyond its time pressure and combat choices.
Earlier, Blood of Dawnwalker reveals pixies highlighted a host of fantasy creatures, including gargoyles and kobolds.
Will the strict time limit make each playthrough more exciting, or will it frustrate players who want to see everything at once?
