TCG Card Shop Simulator Leaves Early Access on September 15
For two years, TCG Card Shop Simulator existed only on PC and Xbox, despite having sold over 3.5 million copies. Now OPNeon Games announced the 1.0 release date — September 15, 2026 — and that same day, the card shop simulator will make its first appearance on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch. The game will exit early access simultaneously across all platforms: the ones listed above plus Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
The PlayStation debut comes with a bit of a scandalous backstory. While the original sat in early access, clones cashing in on its name and premise managed to slip onto the PS Store — and English-language outlets are now covering the announcement specifically as "the real version is finally arriving." For buyers on Sony consoles, this is the first chance to get the actual game instead of a knockoff.
The biggest addition in version 1.0, though, is something the community has been asking for since launch. Until now, players could only sell boosters, open them, and collect rare cards, but couldn't actually play Tetramon itself — the fictional TCG openly inspired by Pokémon. Now it becomes playable: you'll be able to build decks and battle AI opponents, with new cards added alongside it. A separate tournament mode is also being added, letting players run high-stakes competitions in their own shop.
When I launched TCG Card Shop Simulator in early access back in 2024, I never expected it to take off the way it did. I'm grateful to the community that supported it, and with version 1.0 launching, I can't wait to show it to everyone around the world and on more platforms. And to everyone who's been with us since the beginning: I can't wait for you to finally try the full Tetramon and see your shops in a whole new light.
Development this whole time has essentially been the work of one person — Ding Sheng Xia from Malaysia. The idea grew out of a childhood experience: he wanted to recreate that specific feeling of opening a pack of cards. The game launched on Steam on September 15, 2024, arrived on Xbox on October 28, 2025, as a Game Preview title available through Game Pass. Version 1.0 will be a digital-only release.
What are you picking up version 1.0 for — finally getting to play Tetramon, or the shop simulator itself?
