Palworld is already at work on its post-1.0 future, and Pocketpair says version 1.1 needs to stay focused rather than growing into a year-long project. The developer wants the next update to move quickly without turning into a massive, drawn-out expansion.first major update after version 1.0

John Buckley, head of publishing and communications at Pocketpair, asked players to send in ideas for version 1.1. The post drew more than 2,000 replies, with suggestions ranging from a new continent to 20 more levels, but Buckley made it clear that this is not the direction the team wants to take.

Shot myself in the foot here, but things like "add a new continent", "add 20 more levels" and similarly massive undertakings are not really what we want to do with v1.1. Open to ideas but, we're not planning to spend a year making a massive update for 1.1

Buckley said Pocketpair is open to community ideas, but also warned that repeatedly adding new levels and territories can quickly lead to bloat. The studio wants version 1.1 to add meaningful content without becoming oversized.

That cautious approach follows Palworld version 1.0, which already added new Pals, a new region, late-game armor and weapons, new structures, and new points of interest. Pocketpair's message is clear: the game will keep evolving, but not every update needs to balloon into something on the scale of a separate expansion.

How far should Palworld go with version 1.1 before new content starts to feel like bloat?
