Cardpocalypse Standard Edition Now Free on Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has kicked off its latest giveaway, offering the single-player card-battling RPG Cardpocalypse Standard Edition along with the Epic Magician Pack for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms. You can claim these freebies until August 27.

Cardpocalypse follows Jess, a 10-year-old girl starting at a new school. On her very first day, she accidentally gets the ultra-popular card game Mega Mutant Power Pets banned by the school administration. Refusing to back down, the kids go underground, secretly trading cards and battling in the shadows. However, things take a wild turn when the monsters from the game actually come to life and invade the real world. Now, it’s up to Jess and her friends to save their school—and the planet—through strategic card duels.

Looking ahead, the next batch of free games starting August 27 will feature Breathedge and Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition.

Breathedge is an ironic single-player space survival game packed with crafting mechanics and dark humor, where you play as an ordinary guy trying to survive a massive deep-space shipwreck.

Rival Stars Horse Racing is a sports management sim that lets you run your own stable, breed champions, and take to the track in thrilling horse races.
