Roadmap Revealed for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is set to receive its first major update this September. Developer Expression Games has unveiled the 2026 roadmap, detailing the content release schedule through December. Rather than dropping all major features at once, the studio has opted to roll them out across several distinct patches.
The September 1.5 update kicks off the multi-wave content drop. US Forces will gain access to the M14 rifle, while the NVA (North Vietnamese Army) will receive the Type 56 SKS carbine. Crucially, the patch introduces the franchise's first-ever officially licensed vehicle: the iconic Bell UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" helicopter.
The licensing agreement was secured directly with the Bell helicopter company. The "Huey" will feature an in-game radio playing Vietnam War-era music, which players can turn down or completely mute at will. The developers emphasized that these additions are a direct response to highly requested community feedback.
The next major milestone arrives with Update 2.0. This patch introduces the new "Khe Sanh" map, alongside a rework of the American faction into US & Allies to integrate ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand) troops. Their arsenal will be bolstered by three new weapons: the L1A1 SLR, the F1 SMG, and the L16A1 mortar.
Update 3.0 will follow up with the "Rung Sat" map, armored personnel carriers (APCs) for both factions, and four additional firearms. The NVA will get the MAT-49 submachine gun and the Dragunov sniper rifle (SVD), while the US & Allies will receive the Stoner 63 and a new M14 variant. This update will also debut Battalions v1, a feature specifically tailored for clans and organized communities.
While the team gears up for these fall releases, players can currently jump into Patch 1.2. Now live across all platforms, it delivers over 500 bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. By spacing out the content, the studio aims to smoothly implement Hell Let Loose: Vietnam's most ambitious additions, including the Huey helicopters and new battlegrounds, over the coming months.
