MxBenchmarkPC Says DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction Improves Cyberpunk 2077
MxBenchmarkPC's latest DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction test in Cyberpunk 2077 shows how the feature behaves in a real game ahead of NVIDIA's August 25 GeForce On Community Update. The benchmarker's findings land amid growing expectations that the new ray-reconstruction model will be one of the event's bigger talking points.
NVIDIA has already said that the Gamescom 2026 GeForce On Community Update will take place on August 25 at 8:00 AM Pacific time. The broadcast will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch, and the company says it will cover the latest GeForce features and upcoming PC games, although NVIDIA still has not revealed which announcements will actually appear during the show.
One of the most likely items on the list is DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction. NVIDIA previously confirmed that the second-generation Ray Reconstruction model will arrive in August, and the necessary files appeared ahead of schedule.
Those files were also found in the beta version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. According to the report, the version in those files can already be enabled in other supported games through NVIDIA Profile Inspector.
That is what makes the MxBenchmarkPC test notable: the technology is not just being talked about ahead of NVIDIA's presentation, but has already been examined in Cyberpunk 2077. For now, though, the company has only confirmed the date, time, and broad themes of GeForce On — not a final list of surprises.
Will NVIDIA use GeForce On to formally introduce DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, or keep the biggest announcements under wraps?
