The developers of Crimson Desert have unveiled a trailer for the game's first major expansion, titled Charting the Unknown. The DLC will continue the story of Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane as they embark on a new journey across the world of Pywel.

One of the expansion's main features will be expanded exploration options. Players will be able to dive underwater using scuba gear and explore underwater areas, as well as travel across the world by ship.

Another notable addition is a more flexible building system. Players will be able to completely remodel their homes, freely changing both their appearance and layout. In terms of its capabilities, the system is reminiscent of house building in The Sims series.

The story of Charting the Unknown will follow Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane on a new adventure as they attempt to understand their purpose and determine their own futures amid a new wave of turmoil in Pywel.

The gameplay trailer was captured directly on PlayStation 5 Pro. The developers note that the footage reflects the current version of the DLC and may change before release.

Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown will be released on October 15, 2026.
