New Final Fantasy VII Revelation Trailer Reveals Release Date
Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, revealing the official release date for the final chapter in the remade Final Fantasy VII trilogy. The game is scheduled to launch on April 8, 2027.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation unfolds against the backdrop of an impending apocalypse. With the world teetering on the brink of destruction, Meteor streaking across the sky, giant Weapons wreaking havoc, and the conflict with Sephiroth reaching its climax, Cloud and his companions must unite one last time to decide the fate of the planet and end this legendary saga once and for all.
One of the upcoming entry's defining features is its massive open world. Players will be able to take to the skies aboard the Highwind airship, choose their landing spots, and explore a variety of biomes, towns, and remote corners of the world.
The final chapter also expands the party with new playable characters—Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine. Each party member comes equipped with unique abilities and combat roles, giving players far more tactical flexibility.
The battle system blends real-time action with classic turn-based elements. Players can freely switch between party members, issue commands in tactical mode, and chain together character abilities to take down formidable foes.
Square Enix is also expanding character customization. Players will be able to tailor every hero with specific weapons, armor, skills, Materia, and FITS to suit their preferred playstyle.
