Gran Turismo 7's Free Spec IV Update Arrives in Two Parts This Year
Polyphony Digital announced that Gran Turismo 7 will get a new Spec IV content rollout in October and December 2026 as part of the series' 30th anniversary celebrations.
The October part will add Sportsland SUGO in Japan, while December will bring back Autumn Ring. The latter is a classic circuit that first appeared in the original Gran Turismo.
Across both parts, Spec IV will add 12 new cars. Polyphony Digital also said the update will introduce Online Drift Trials and Shuffle Races, along with new Driving Experiences, an expanded Car Viewer, new progression elements, and a Concierge feature for car buying.
Family Mode is also set to arrive in the December update. Polyphony Digital added that more details about the October and December parts will be revealed during Gran Turismo World Series Round 3 in Singapore on October 3, 2026.
As we look ahead to the 30th anniversary of the original release of Gran Turismo in 2027, we are preparing a free Spec IV update for Gran Turismo 7 to kick off the celebrations with our players.
By the way, we previously published an article featuring the best racing games on PC and consoles.
