Steam has kicked off its latest free weekend event, giving players a chance to jump into two completely different experiences for free until September 28. The titles featured in this week's promotion are the tycoon sim Gas Station Simulator and the tactical military shooter Squad

Gas Station Simulator challenges players to breathe new life into a derelict fueling station buried deep in the American desert. You will start from absolute rock bottom: clearing piles of trash, painting walls, and repairing rusty, outdated machinery. As your business grows, this tiny pit stop can expand into a massive highway complex featuring an auto repair shop, a car wash, a warehouse, and a fully stocked convenience store. To survive the constant rush of demanding drivers and truckers, you will need to hire staff and master the art of delegation.

On the flip side, Squad is a hardcore, tactical first-person shooter that drops players right into the heart of modern battlefield chaos. The game features massive, realistic maps where two 50-player teams face off, representing various real-world military factions and insurgent groups. Unlike arcade shooters, there is absolutely no room for "lone wolf" playstyles here; solo players are eliminated instantly. Victory relies entirely on precise radio coordination, squad cohesion, and overall team strategy.
