New Arcade Racer Hyperboard Extreme Launches for Free on Steam

The free-to-play arcade racer Hyperboard Extreme has officially launched on Steam, drawing heavy inspiration from genre classics like Burnout 3 and Blur. Early players have embraced the title, giving it a 100% positive review rating on the platform.

Hyperboard Extreme was handcrafted by solo developer SlyBalto. Built as a passion project over the course of two years to recapture the spirit of classic console-era racers, the game is entirely free of ads and paywalls. Gameplay centers on high-speed circuit racing across a vibrant, futuristic city. Winning takes more than just speed—players must aggressively ram rivals and collect powerful powerups scattered across the tracks. The title also features a local multiplayer mode supporting up to four players.

It is also worth noting that another free online racing game, Kartboard Dash, recently debuted on Steam.
