Love and Deepspace Warns Players After Cocktail Recipes Feature Poisonous Flowers
Love and Deepspace's official account responded after fans spotted poisonous flowers in two fictional cocktail recipes posted for an in-game event. The recipes went up on September 29, 2026, and the account followed with a safety notice the next day.
The post featured five fictional cocktails, one themed around each romantic character. Two recipes drew particular concern: a peach juice and gelatin drink garnished with Flame Lily, and a pomegranate juice and cinnamon drink topped with Datura.
Both flowers are real and dangerous if consumed. Fans criticized the recipes online, warning that people unfamiliar with the plants might try to recreate the drinks; an X Community Note was also added to the post. Fans on the game's forums separately urged one another not to copy the recipes.
On September 30, the official account issued a safety notice clarifying that the drinks were fictional and meant only for the game.
Safety Notice: All drinks shown are fictional and for in-game purposes only. Do not attempt to recreate or consume them in reality.
The discussion also brought up Valco, a sixth romantic character that Infold Games dropped without explaining the decision. Love and Deepspace is a romance game with action elements in which the heroine fights alien threats and builds a relationship with one of five characters.
Do you see the cocktail post as a simple oversight, or should the developers have checked the ingredients before sharing the recipes?
