Underwater Nocturne in Genshin Impact: How to Find the Blank Music Score

«Underwater Nocturne» is an event development of the «Shadow over Petrichor» quest in the game Genshin Impact, being part of the extensive «Odes of Harmony» quest series. Players are tasked with finding a blank music score and unlocking access to previously unexplored locations. In this guide, we provide detailed instructions on how to complete the quest, answer questions that may arise during the process, and explain what prizes await you after completing the stage.

The «Underwater Nocturne» quest begins immediately after you gain access to the Decayed Castle and talk to Ossi again to listen to the first Ancient Score.

In the Decayed Castle, you can also find locked passages, which require finding the Lost Grimoires to open. This task is optional, as it does not affect the quest's story — you can return to this area later to search for the grimoires.

Before continuing with the quest, we recommend first exploring the far left side of the castle. Climb the stairs, turn left, and activate the teleport.

Enter the room and watch the cutscene with the cat, after which a game tutorial will appear on the screen. Players need to use a new ability to interact with the autoharmonic flutes and set the correct combinations.

Near these devices, you will need to find special symbols, which must match the symbols on the flutes. Using the T key on PC, switch the elemental skill and hold the use button to activate the required symbol.

Repeat the actions with two flutes and interact with the pedestal in the center of the room to take the blank music score and also check the rich chest.

Head towards the marker and jump down into the hall with the fresco, where a cutscene with Ossi will start. Interact with the instrument and fight two groups of golems.

Immediately after the battle, the task will end, but we recommend returning to the blank music score and interacting with it to receive valuable rewards.

The mini-game «Unpredictable Scene!» offers gamers to catch note bubbles. It is easiest to do this using the new ability. When bubbles are nearby the character, use a short press on the elemental skill key. At this moment, the bubbles will stop moving, allowing you to quickly collect them.

In the second part of the mini-game, lightning will appear in the arena, dealing damage to the chosen character and knocking him down. This can interfere with collecting bubbles, so try to dodge them in time.

In the third part of the challenge, players will be allowed to collect note bubbles by holding down the elemental skill key.

Successfully completing all stages of the challenge, you will receive the «Wall Odyssey» achievement, two Precious Chests, a Luxurious Chest, and the second part of the Ancient Score.

This will begin the next quest «The Last Day of Remuria».
