Walkthrough of the Archon Quests «Bedtime Story: Volume 4, Chapter 6» in Genshin Impact
With the major update in Genshin Impact, a new Archon quest called «Bedtime Story» has appeared. As players progress through the quest chain, they will investigate the disappearance of a person from Vimara Village, meet the protagonist's sister (brother), and learn a bit about his fate. In this guide, you will find a detailed walkthrough of the quest.
How to Start the Archon Quest «Bedtime Story»
To gain access to the quest chain, meet the following conditions:
- Reach Adventure Rank 40;
- Complete the Archon Quest «Masquerade of the Guilty».
If all conditions are met, the quest will automatically become available in the event log or task journal. You just need to open one of the two sections and click the «Track» button. If the quest does not appear after installing the update, try waiting a bit.
Old Commission
Head to Sumeru and talk to Katheryne in the Sumeru branch of the Adventurers' Guild. The character will offer to take on a commission to find a missing person. The residents of Vimara Village left it: one of the neighbors went missing, but the problem is they don't know his name.
In Vimara Village, a local resident named Bahram will be waiting. He will share some information about the missing person. He was a young man in his twenties who helped the villagers. However, this story will not be enough — head to the village elder Amadia, who is waiting on the other side.
After the dialogue with the elder, a girl named Atossa will approach you, wanting to show a place under a tree. After listening to her, a group of Abyss Mages will appear nearby, which you will have to deal with, and you will also meet Dainsleif.
Memories That Shouldn't Have Been
The quest will begin after a conversation with Dainsleif. In the morning, follow the marker on the map to find the guardian again. Strangely enough, he also has memories of the missing boy from the village, although yesterday he knew almost nothing about him. He will want to take you to a place where he hid the Eye of the Abyss Order.
Reach the dungeon and after a short cutscene, enter inside. Defeat several groups of enemies and follow the marker. At the large stairs, you can find a rich chest.
Behind the massive door, a Ruin Guard will be waiting. Defeat it and interact with the device in the center of the hall, which will open the passage downwards. To solve the next puzzle, position the runes so that beams of light fall on them. Use the mechanisms in front of you. Don't miss the common chest to the right of the gate.
At the end of the dungeon, a strong enemy from the Abyss Order will be waiting. Defeat him and watch an extended cutscene where Dainsleif meets the protagonist's brother/sister.
Narration of the World Order
You will find yourself in a restricted area. On the left side of the path, find the peaceful hilichurls and approach them. Then run along the road to the right and find another group, and then another one.
Now return to Vimara Village and approach Grandpa Amadia. He won't remember the missing boy, so you'll have to find another local resident named Barham and question him. Right after the dialogue, the protagonist will decide to make a conclusion.
Where are we now?
- People have forgotten about the missing boy;
- We have gone back in time before his disappearance;
- We are in someone else's memories — correct.
What is the weak point of the ability the missing boy possesses?
- The landscape in false memories always remains unchanged;
- In false memories, time does not move — correct;
- False memories are easily forgotten.
Whose memories are these?
- Atossa — correct;
- Dainsleif;
- Amadia.
When you provide the correct conclusions, a marker will appear on the map next to the place where Atossa led you earlier. Go there and meet the boy. However, before that, you will also have to make a conclusion.
The «missing» person is actually…
- Clotar Alberich;
- Caribert Alberich — correct;
- The «Seer» Vedrfelnir.
After talking to Caribert, you will see an extended cutscene with the protagonist's brother/sister, after which you will find yourself back in the village.
