The Best Armor in Black Myth: Wukong — How to Find and Which Armor to Upgrade?
In Black Myth: Wukong, you can choose your own playstyle for a successful playthrough. Gamers will need special items and their own armor. However, it can be difficult not to miss the best items as you progress through the story. Let's take a look at some of them.

Centipede Armor
The most unusual mythical armor in the game because it activates character stat boosts when taking damage. It pairs well with other consumable items related to poisoning.
The armor skills are called Poison Protection:
- If you equip two out of four items, the damage caused by the poisoning effect will gradually decrease significantly;
- If you equip all its items, your attack will be enhanced while in a poisoned state.

- Centipede Armor in Qiangjin Style: Cold Iron Sheets (5), Fine Golden Thread (2), Units of Will (8400);
- Centipede Spiked Bracers: Cold Iron Sheets (1), Fine Golden Thread (1), Units of Will (4000);
- Centipede Leggings: Cold Iron Sheets (1), Fine Golden Thread (1), Units of Will (6000).
How to Obtain?
You can craft it by spending the resources listed above. Note that you need to complete the fourth chapter of the storyline to craft these items.
Pilgrim's Garments
Suitable for speedrunning, as it increases attack based on running and simplifies movement. It has the following skills:
- If you equip two out of four items, your running speed will be increased;
- If you equip all armor items, each second spent running will increase your attack value by 10%. The effect does not continue to stack after 10 seconds of fast movement, and it disappears when you stop running.
Moreover, if you upgrade the armor's rarity from unusual to mythical, you will be able to gain a small amount of focus points per second while running.

How to Obtain?
Some of the very first items in the game that can be crafted after defeating the boss Lin Xu-Zi and the Guanyin Temple on Black Wind Mountain, that is, after the first chapter. If you want to upgrade the armor, you will need to unlock the Painted Kingdom after defeating Elder Long in Chapter 3.
After defeating the opponent, head to the altar Basement Shrine at the Crouching Tiger Temple (second chapter) to talk to the NPC Xu Dog and get special medicine for Elder Long. Give it to him, and you will be sent to a new location.
In the Painted Kingdom, you need to find the NPC Tiger Yin, who will upgrade your armor's rarity for units of Will and resources depending on the desired rarity (silk, cold iron sheet, fine golden thread, and heavenly ribbon).
Prince with Bull Head Armor
The best mythical items for so-called tank strategies aimed at deflecting almost all enemy blows and using strong counterattacks. It has the skills Unyielding Resolve:
- If you equip two out of four items, the hero's defense will be temporarily increased when taking damage.
- If you equip all armor items, your character will receive the Stamina effect when he has 50% health or less, but will not be able to perform perfect dodges.

- Prince with Bull Head Bracers: Fine Golden Thread (2), Heavenly Ribbon (1), Iron Horn of the Prince with Bull Head (1), Units of Will (6000);
- Prince with Bull Head Leggings: Fine Golden Thread (2), Heavenly Ribbon (1), Iron Horn of the Prince with Bull Head (1), Units of Will (7200).
How to Obtain?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to obtain all items of this armor in one playthrough, as no more than 4 Iron Horns of the Prince with Bull Head can be found, so for a complete set, you will need to repeat the same actions in New Game+.
First, you need to unlock the secret location of the fifth chapter, Bishui Cave. If you haven't done this yet, you can use our guide.
Move to the altar Bishui Cave, Purification Pit, turn around and go down the stairs on the left until you reach the central area. Then cross it to the indicated ascent in the image.
Immediately after the ascent, at the fork, stick to the left path. Run to the rounded area, then head northeast through two enemies. Next, carefully look to your right: there should be a new altar.
Then continue along this road past all the enemies until a chest with one Iron Horn of the Prince with Bull Head appears on the left. Then return to this path and follow it forward for a long time, occasionally veering and crossing a hanging bridge, and at the end slide down to the altar, near which you need to turn right to reach the boss arena. For defeating him, you will receive three Iron Horns of the Prince with Bull Head.
Moon Scales Armor
Creating a character to play through this armor is not difficult. If you equip all three items of this set, the duration of the effect from hitting your character is reduced, and the damage you deal with lightning is increased.
Increasing the rarity from the initial epic to mythical will increase the lightning damage to your opponent.

How to Obtain?
You can craft this armor in the appropriate place immediately after defeating the boss Kan-Jin Star. The boss is mandatory for game progression, so you definitely won't miss him. You can increase the rarity in the same way as with the Pilgrim's Garb.
Golden Armor
Armor associated with the use of spirits or artifacts. Its skills are called Golden Glow:
- If you equip two out of four items, after activating a spirit or talisman skill, the attack is increased for a short time;
- If you equip all armor items, you will receive a small amount of Qi after critical hits on enemies or defeating them.

You can craft this armor immediately after finding the first altar in the fourth chapter. No additional storyline conditions are required.
Bronze Armor
Perfect for those who defeat bosses using the Immobilization technique. It has the following skills:
- If you equip two out of four items, the damage value to an enemy immobilized by the ability is increased;
- If you equip all armor items, the cooldown time of the technique will be reduced after an attack that removes the freeze effect from the enemy.

You can obtain the crafting recipe for this armor if you defeat the first chapter boss named Venerable Elder Jin-Chi. To reach his arena, you need to find three bells beforehand.
Black-Gold Armor
It will be useful for players who actively use the Misty Step spell. If you equip all three items of this armor, during the use of this ability, a black wind will continuously attack the enemy. Additionally, increasing its rarity will require more mana expenditure considering the existence of a decoy until its destruction.

Opera Armor
Armor that you can get at the very beginning of the game if you purchase its Deluxe edition. You won't need to craft it separately, and if you equip all four items, defeated enemies will drop an increased amount of Units of Will.

- If you equip all armor items, the damage dealt to enemies and received by you will be increased.

Wind Guard Armor
If you frequently use dodges quite professionally, using this armor will give you additional enhancements. It has the following skills:
- If you equip two out of four items, after a perfect dodge you will additionally receive many concentration points;
- If you equip all armor items, the cooldown time of all spells will be reduced after a perfect dodge.
Additionally, upgrading these items to the maximum rarity level will give you the ability to further reduce the cooldown time of all spells.
