In Farming Simulator 25, two new types of animals have been added, including the water buffalo, which aligns with the game's East Asian theme. In this guide, we will detail how to care for water buffaloes, breed them, and profit from their upkeep.

You won't find specialized buildings for buffaloes, as buffaloes and cows belong to the same type of animals. In the Cows category, you will find six different structures:

One of the most important aspects of animal care is constant attention to their health and well-being. Caring for buffaloes is similar to caring for other animals: you need to keep the pastures in perfect condition and regularly monitor the animals' condition, as their productivity directly depends on their physical state.

For effective growth or milk production, you need to make a TMR (Total Mixed Ration). This special feed is created using several types of fodder:

Specialized forage mixers are used to create high-quality feeds. They can be either purchased or rented from the store.

Important to remember: to get enriched TMR, you need to strictly adhere to the proportions of the ingredients. These proportions are displayed on the left side of the screen when the forage trailer is attached to the main vehicle. If the white dot is within each colored bar, it means you have achieved 100% performance, and your mix will be as efficient as possible.

Also, do not forget about water. Without it, not only will you not be able to make a profit, but there is also a risk of losing all the animals. To avoid this, purchase or rent a water tank, install a water reservoir, or, at first, draw water from the nearest body of water.

You can start breeding buffaloes by purchasing a female. She will develop over 18 months, which is a fairly long process, but in the future, it will bring you significant profit. Although breeding requires more effort and attention, it turns out to be much more profitable than buying already grown animals.

You can sell the calves at the market or keep them for further breeding. Selling will bring only a small profit, whereas it is much more profitable to raise them and start producing milk, which is later used to make a new product in the game — mozzarella. We will detail this process below.

Due to their unpretentiousness in food and minimal requirements for living conditions, buffaloes are one of the most profitable sources of income in the game. The main sources of profit are milk and the sale of adult animals, but there are other valuable products that can be obtained thanks to the new mechanics.

The process of making mozzarella from female buffalo milk is a profitable and promising business. Using the milk of adult buffaloes, you can produce cheese of the highest quality, which will be in demand on the market. If you played Farming Simulator 22, you are probably already familiar with the mechanics where cow's milk is used to create various products — the same principle applies in the new version of the game. Although the process of producing mozzarella will require considerable effort and investment, the results will undoubtedly justify the resources spent.
