How to Find and Use the Wanderer Crest in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Not all fans of the original Hollow Knight liked the new 45-degree angle attack. If you want to use the more familiar downward strikes, you’ll need the Wanderer Crest. With this weapon, you can attack faster than with others, but its effective range is slightly shorter. Nevertheless, it proves useful in a variety of situations, so it will benefit all players.

It’s best to prepare for the search for the Crest first:

In Mosshome, you need to reach the room above the elevator. Use Swift Step to jump over the hanging cages.

In the next room, you’ll encounter a beetle that spits acid. There’s also a door here that can be opened with the Simple Key. Head west until you reach the first pit.

Jump down and run to the right. Descend lower and lower until you reach the moss-covered ground.

Head down to the water. Break the bone gates on the right and make your way to the Chapel of the Wanderer.

There, you’ll face pilgrims you need to defeat. Move even lower and use the Bind ability to claim the Crest.

Note that you can reach the cages without the Swift Step skill. To do this, jump from the high cliff to the right of Mosshome, where the Choral Commandment lies. However, in this case, you’ll need to carefully plan your move to avoid the beetle’s poisonous spits.
