In Dying Light: The Beast, there are many legendary weapons, each different from the previous version and unique. They all look different and significantly simplify the gameplay. However, the developers did a great job hiding them from prying eyes in hard-to-reach places all over the map. I present to you a detailed guide to all legendary weapons in Dying Light: The Beast.

№1 — Sawblade Launcher

To get the Sawblade Launcher, you need to reach the safe zone at the farm with the grain storage, located near Pembroke. Here you need to climb to the very top of the silos and eliminate all zombies. After that, you’ll have to activate this zone by pulling a cable. But don’t rush to jump down — before that, push down the ladders so you don’t have to repeat the whole way up like the first time. Now go to the locked room: on the side, you’ll find a vent hidden behind boards. Break them and climb in. On the right, on the tool table, you’ll find the Sawblade Launcher blueprint. All that’s left is to pull the lever to the right of the workbench to power everything up.

№2 — The Eraser

The weapon will be located in the southeastern part of the Farmlands, in a small house — exactly at the spot shown in the image below. You need to get into another building with a locked door, but you can enter through a ventilation shaft hidden behind wooden crates. There you need to start the generator and then bring power to the bunker.

To do this:

  1. open the locked door from the inside.
  2. take the cable.
  3. go to the ruined building opposite.

There, on the second floor, connect it to the panel, jump down to the hatch and open it. Then climb back to the second floor, disconnect the cable, jump into the open hatch, move the wardrobe, tear off the vent cover, and go into the room where this cable is, and connect it to the next panel. This will open all the locked doors, behind one of which, guarded by two zombies, in a wardrobe, this rifle will be waiting.

№3 — The Sunray

To get it, you need to power the bunker next to the marked house. But first, in the house marked on the map, you should search the body and find a fuse. After this, go underground and replace the burnt-out fuse with the working one you found. The revolver itself will be waiting for the player in a safe with a combination lock. The clue to opening the lock will be on one of the posters (the needed poster is in the screenshots, and the combination is 02-02-19). Enter the combination and take the weapon.

№4 — The Statement

Pembroke again — and not too far from the safe zone with the grain storage. The shotgun is a strong argument in any skirmish, so we recommend getting it as soon as possible. To do this:

  1. reach the marked building.
  2. break open the ventilation grate.
  3. start the generator.

Following the classic recipe, power up the nearby shed, which was used as a garage (it’s right across from the exit of the locked door). Once you connect the cable, the door will be activated. Open it, enter, deal with the zombie ambush, and pick up the shotgun from the workbench.

№5 — The Needle

Another weapon will be waiting for the player on a table in the garage (you may need the A1 treasure map for this). The generator will be in a green container, accessible through a hatch on top. Climb inside, perform the usual actions to start the generator, and climb back out the same way, laying the cable to the two-story building with the garage door that has a reference to the first season of The Walking Dead. Clear the area and grab the coveted gun.

№6 — Strauss & Broda

The legendary machete can be found on the roof of a shop located north of Old Town and west of the Heroes Memorial Hill. There is a huge building here, with a staircase on the side leading to the roof. Once on the roof, pick the lock on the door and go inside. On the wall, there will be a locked white box. Keep knocking on the box until the little helpers decide to open the door for you (it will take about 50 interactions). You won’t need to do this again in the future.

№7 — The Elite

First, you need to get the B4 treasure map, and then the weapon. The map will be on the door of a cabinet in a room with two bunk beds. Then you need to head to the crashed convoy on the railroad tracks and pick up the access card from one of the infected.

The required enemy will be hiding in one of the containers: he’s fully armored and behind a door that you’ll need to pick open. You’ll also need to connect power to one of the train cars — that’s where the card comes in handy. The pistol will be lying on one of the shelves.

№8 — EXPCalibur II

Before you can obtain it, you need to complete the challenge of finding eight stone sigils, and then head to the National Park and climb the rock where the sword and pentagram are located. Most sigils can be found at the beginning of the game, except for two: one is in a cave that opens during the story, and the other can be obtained in the basement while completing the “The Beast Within” quest.

  1. After gaining access to the Telepaths’ Cave, you’ll be able to take this stone, located on the rock near the southern exit, illuminated by a candle next to a bowl and a dish.
  2. West side of the Tree of Madness, in the Skeleton’s mouth.
  3. In the church basement. The sigil is attached to the base of the winged statue. This area is accessible during the “The Beast Within” quest.
  4. On the fountain.
  5. On the back side of the post.
  6. In a small house by the pond, on the chimney inside the house.
  7. Hidden camp with yellow trees and a tent. As soon as you enter, look to the right and you’ll see a wide stone with the symbol.
  8. Inside the cave behind the waterfall. The symbol is underwater.

After placing all the stones on the pentagram, an enemy will appear, and after defeating it, you can safely pull EXPCalibur out of the stone. Keep in mind that this will take about three minutes of real time. You need to press the interaction button and wait, just like in the first game.

№9 — Last Hand of Glova

It is located very close to pistol №7, on the tracks behind an invisible wall referencing "Harry Potter" and "Minecraft". Head towards the ruined tunnel. On one wall, there will be a reference to platform "9 and 3/4" — go through it. After that, you'll see a wall made of "Minecraft" cubes, which you need to break. Behind them, you'll find a golden train, gold bars, and the developers' secret weapon.

№10 — Ciupaga

Kratos' axe, also known as the "Boomerang Axe", can be obtained right after getting submachine gun №5. Just go to the marked spot on the map and climb onto the balcony. You'll need some dexterity and a bit of luck, as the weapon will be hanging above the open shutters.

№11 — Beaver's Stick

To get this unique legendary weapon, you need to find six different sticks and the beaver's cave. Then, using the sticks, upgrade the bridge to open the way to the location that will help you reach the stick. See the guide for details on how to get Beaver's Stick in Dying Light 2, with a detailed description of the locations of all six sticks and the cave.

№12 — Tempered Crowbar

With this melee weapon, everything is much simpler. Just go to the Municipal Water Treatment Plant in the Vale region, climb the pipe to the third tank from the left, and pick up the blueprint.

№13 — Tennis Racket

In this case, just like with the crowbar, it’s quite simple. Just enter the building and take the racket from the wall.

№14 — Breslau Blade

The saber can be taken from the statue on the central square marked on the map, after completing a mini-puzzle involving shooting nine crests.

  1. The first crest is on the front of the statue’s base, the second is on the back.
  2. The third is on the right side of the building between the arches, easily spotted after destroying the second crest.
  3. The fourth is to the left and above the third, you don’t even need to move.
  4. The fifth is between the third and fourth crests, but even higher on the building.
  5. The sixth is also between the arches, just go further left. Look for greenery as a landmark.
  6. The seventh — turn left into the passage between the buildings, and you’ll find another crest.
  7. The eighth and ninth are on either side of the main entrance to the square.

After destroying all the crests, approach the epitaph at the statue and interact with it. Confetti will shoot out, and after that, you can climb the statue and take the saber.

Some unique legendary items can also only be found at merchants after reaching level 11.
