The Outer Worlds 2 — Saga of Malfunctioning Mechanicals: Automech Part Location Guide
Vladislav Sham
The Outer Worlds 2 offers players a dive into a fantastic world of extraterrestrial colonies. You’ll explore exotic planets and assemble a team of dedicated adventurers. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to find the automech part and help Patron Hogarth restore the flooded Westport. You’ll also learn how to get into the automech repair center on the Euphoria Coast and where to find the Ministry of Accuracy to obtain a mechanic’s credential.
How to Start the Quest
In the eastern part of Paradise Island’s first half lies the flooded city of Westport, which you can reach on your own or during a quest from Minister Milverstreet of The Brain Benders of Auntie's Choice!. The settlement is run by Patron Hogarth, who will definitely help you get to the north and access the Glass Station. But in return, he’ll ask for your assistance. If you agree, the quest The Saga of Malfunctioning Mechanicals will activate.
The residents actively use robots and want to reprogram combat machines for service purposes. For this, a special part is required, which can be found in the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center.
How to Get to the Repair Center
The entrance to the repair center is guarded by Protectorate soldiers. To pass the checkpoint, you need to show a credential, which can be printed at the terminal on the second floor of the Ministry of Accuracy, located west of Fairfield. If your character has Engineering skill level 3, you don’t need to get a pass.
How to Find the Automech Part
First, talk to Chief Mechanic Woodrow Contos. Next, the investigation will lead you to Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant. This way, you’ll learn that the part is located in the repair workshop area.
Stand in front of Delphinia’s bay. Look at the orange boxes to the left of the workshop entrance. Climb them onto the roof and find the Automech Replacement Parts on a wooden crate. Return to Hogarth, give him the device, then find out how to get to the second part of the island and receive a document that opens the way to the Glass Station.
