The Outer Worlds 2 is a new project from Obsidian Entertainment. Its events unfold in the Arcadia star system. The second part has kept many of the strengths of the first, including the ability to achieve your goals in various ways. In addition, you can get cute animals (and more) on your spaceship. Like the original The Outer Worlds, the sequel is an open-world role-playing game with freedom of choice, in the spirit of Fallout: New Vegas. Many issues can be resolved peacefully if you pass skill checks and choose the right dialogue options.
How to Get Animals (Pets) in The Outer Worlds 2
There are several ways in the game to get a cute animal or droid:
- Complete certain quests in the open world. As a reward for some of them, you will receive a new animal. For example, this is how you can get Lucy the Crabenny. To do this, you need to complete the breeder Casey's quest/
- Buy animals from vendors. For example, in the inventory of the merchant located in the Automaton Repair Center, you can find a Flying Drone. It also counts as a pet/
- Purchase the premium edition of the game. The Lunatic set "For Services to the Corporation" includes a Shprysa.
Those who pre-ordered will receive an additional pet — Ed the drone.
If you manage to tame five animals, you will get the achievement "Hatchling Catcher."
How to Change Pets (Animals) in The Outer Worlds 2
Only one animal or robot can walk around your ship at a time. If you want to switch to another, go to the feeder and interact with it. After this, a menu will open where you can choose another pet.
Why Do You Need Animals (Pets) in The Outer Worlds 2
Unfortunately, they won't help you in combat or provide useful bonuses, and you can't send them to hard-to-reach places or make NPCs melt at the sight of a cute animal. The only purpose of pets is to create a cozy atmosphere on your spaceship's deck. If you wish, you can pet them.
