Dispatch: What Happens If You Reveal Mecha-Man’s Identity?

Players in Dispatch take on the role of a dispatcher in a superhero service and must make life-changing decisions that determine relationships between heroes and other characters. Robert Robertson is a hereditary Mecha-Man. His grandfather and father died in battle, but this time the hero survived. However, his mech was completely destroyed. He caught the attention of the main office of the superhero dispatch center. That’s why, in the first episode “Transition,” Blonde Blazer convinced the protagonist to cooperate with the organization in exchange for a promise to restore his mech.

As a result, Robert becomes the dispatcher of an outsider team of supers. All team members are former villains and criminals, so it’s difficult for the hero to fit in. The situation is complicated by the fact that Flambe, with whom he had a conflict in a bar, is on the team.

Additionally, Flambe was once a villain. Mecha-Man stopped him and, in the fight, accidentally cut off two lower fingers on his right hand. As a result, Flambe ended up in prison, and then in the SDC. But up to a certain point, the super doesn’t know who Robert really is.

You can hide the hero’s identity by choosing the “I’m Robert” option. He then gives an evasive answer like “it doesn’t matter who you were, what matters is who you are now.” Currently, only the sixth episode is available. Most likely, sooner or later the truth about Robertson’s origins will come out. Accordingly, the “Phoenix” team will remember that the protagonist hid this fact at the moment when they were honest with him, which means there’s a serious risk of losing reputation.

If you tell the truth, “I am Mecha-Man,” the following happens. Flambe bursts into flames and sends a powerful stream of fire at Robert. Depending on your relationship with the team members, Golem, Waterboy, or Malevola will save the hero. After that, the enraged super will scold everyone and fly away.

In this way, the hero earns the trust of the team. In addition, the Invisible will appreciate this act. Flambe will not show up for the next shift. He will come to the housewarming party at Robert’s place, punch him, and give him a desk lamp. Then the super will say he’s ready to accept and forgive old grievances.
