The superhero project Dispatch has won the hearts of millions of comic book fans around the world. Players take on the role of a dispatcher in a special rescue service. You need to assign heroes to calls to help the residents of Torrance. In this guide, we’ll tell you about all the main and secondary characters in the game. You’ll learn who is friends with whom in the Phoenix team, and also what the long-standing feud between Robert Robertson and the villain Shroud is all about.

Robert Robertson, Mecha-Man

The main character of the game. Before becoming a dispatcher for the superhero service, he was Mecha-Man until Shroud and his gang destroyed the suit. He decided to join the SRS after his first meeting with Blonde Blazer. She promised that for good work, the company would fully restore the robot.

Mecha-Man operates thanks to a special device — the astral pulsator, which disappeared without a trace after the crash. Without the suit, Robert is just an ordinary person with deep knowledge in engineering, programming, and management.

The whole game revolves around Robert’s relationships with all the characters, which we’ll describe in detail in the following sections.

Beef

Robert’s dog. The hero loves his pet very much and always takes him on shifts. Besides, the dog is liked by many characters, especially Chase. In the final episode, the villain uses Beef to force Mecha-Man to surrender.

Chase, Track Star

A former superhero from Mecha-Man’s previous generation team. In his youth, he was close friends with Robert, who sees him as an older brother. Chase can reach incredible speeds, but his aging process is accelerated as a result. That’s why at 39, he looks like an old man.

Chase will teach Robert the basics of dispatching and regularly encourage him. He also loves Beef, so he bought the dog lots of toys and a comfy bed. After Invisigal’s actions on the ship, he ends up in intensive care, because using his ability at his age is life-threatening. In the final episode, Blonde Blazer gives him part of her powers, which grants him new abilities and stops his aging.

Royd

In his youth, he was involved in petty theft until he ran into Robert’s father. Besides his gigantic size and great strength, the guy also has a talent for invention. That’s what the early-era Mecha-Man noticed. So Royd got his act together and joined the SRS.

Thanks to Royd’s talents, the Mecha-Man suit was restored. He also upgraded the robot and added many new features. The only problem was the missing astral pulsator — a component he couldn’t restore on his own.

That’s why he teamed up with Invisigal and found the location of the astral pulsator. Royd is on good terms with Robert and participates in the battle against the villain gang in the final episode.

Elliot Connors, Shroud

Elliot was once an ally of Robert’s father. But disagreements arose, and Shroud shot his former friend with a revolver, then went underground and organized the terrorist group Red Circle.

Robert became Mecha-Man and tracked down Shroud, but fell into a trap and lost his suit as a result. After that, the villain devised a plan in which the hero becomes a dispatcher in the SRS and, with the help of friends, finds the astral pulsator he needs.

Shroud needs the astral pulsator to enhance his abilities. He is also driven by a long-standing hatred for the Robertson family. At the end of the final episode, the main character will have the opportunity to decide the villain’s fate.

Mandy, Blonde Blazer

A superheroine with superpowers. She uses the energy of light and can fly. Blonde Blazer worked a lot in the SRS and rose to become a branch manager. She actively participates in the rehabilitation program for former villains. She recruited Robert Robertson into the dispatch service.

Blonde Blazer fully supports Robert and helps him work with the Phoenix team. In episode seven, Retrospective, she saves the hero from Shroud’s gang’s trap and then takes part in the final battle with the Red Circle.

She was in a relationship with Phenomaman but broke up with him due to different views on life. Blonde Blazer can become Robert’s girlfriend or will calmly accept a refusal if the hero wants to remain friends. At the end of the final episode, Unity, she temporarily gives her power to Chase.

Courtney, Invisigal

She has skilled combat abilities and can become invisible. However, her ability is tied to her breathing, but she suffers from asthma. Before the SRS, she was one of the most important members of a criminal organization, where she was provided with technology to alleviate her symptoms. So, in everyday life, she has to use an inhaler.

The resolution of the storylines in the final chapter, Unity, largely depends on the relationship with the hero. The outcome is influenced by decisions made regarding Invisigal in previous episodes. For example, whether Robert defended her when the Phoenix squad demanded her exclusion from the team and how he reacted to the truth about the real reason for Mecha-Man’s destruction. In addition, you can start a romantic relationship with her.

Victor, Sonar

A hybrid of bat and human. In his normal state, he has high intelligence and charisma, and in his beast form he can fly and possesses incredible strength, while retaining his mind. After graduating from Cambridge, he became a fraudster and committed a series of major financial scams, for which he was imprisoned, but by a lucky chance took part in the SRS villain rehabilitation program.

In episode three, Routine, he can be fired. Since he is friends with Malevola, she will get very angry and absolutely refuse to work. In the final chapter, Sonar will appear on the villain’s side. Robert will have a chance to spare the traitor if the Phoenix team managed to stop him during the last SRS shift.

Janelle, Coupé

A former mercenary with high-tech wings featuring blade-like feathers. She can be fired in episode three and also appears in the finale on the villain’s side. She was once assigned to eliminate Punch Up, but unexpectedly, feelings arose between them and they fell in love. Therefore, after Coupé is removed from the squad, the hero will sabotage requests.

Katon-Ur (Dumpy), Phenomaman

A superhero of alien origin. Since birth, he has had superpowers such as super strength, invulnerability, flight, and control of solar energy. He built a successful career in the SRS and even became the company’s spokesperson. He was in a relationship with Blonde Blazer until their views diverged, after which he fell into depression and was excluded from his squad.

In episode four, Reform, he can be hired to the Phoenix team instead of a fired hero. Even if Robert is in a romantic relationship with Blonde Blazer and tells him about the kiss, he will still forgive him and thank him for his trust.

During his first shift, he will leave on his own business, and at first, his superhero nature will not appeal to the team. But over time, he will fit in and become friends with Punch Up and Malevola. In the final episode, he will join the work without hesitation and help in the final battle against the villains.

Herman, Waterboy

A red-haired young man who can spit water. He can be hired in episode four. At first, the team will speak negatively about him because of his inexperience and near-zero skills. Over time, Waterboy will be accepted, and he will also become close to Punch Up and all the heroes except Flambe. He will also take part in the last shift and the final battle.

Chad, Flambae

Has fire abilities. He was a supervillain until Mecha-Man stopped him, after which he ended up in the SRS. At his first meeting with Robert in the opening chapter, he may knock out a tooth or an eyebrow. Flambae is friends with Prism.

If in episode five, Team Spirit, the hero reveals his identity, he will get very angry and try to burn him, but Golem, Malevola, and Waterboy will save Robert. In the next chapter, Flambae will come to the housewarming party, forgive him, and give him a desk lamp.

Alice, Prism

A flamboyant pop diva who caused chaos at a beauty contest. With photokinesis, she can blind enemies and create objects in space. She is friends with Flambae and Malevola.

Malevola Gibb

A half-demoness who was part of the mafia. She wields a huge blade and can open portals. If the hero fires her, Sonar will sabotage requests. She can also befriend Phenomaman and Waterboy.

Colm, Punch Up

He started his path as a strongman in a circus and soon made a deal with a witch, who shrank him in size but granted him the strength of ten athletes. Then he became a gangster and ended up in the SRS. He is in a romantic relationship with Coupé. He talks with Phenomaman and can also become friends with Waterboy.

Bruno, Golem

A living pile of stones, mud, and clay. Who brought him to life is unknown, but he committed crimes for his creator until he was abandoned. Then Golem ended up in the SRS. He has increased resilience and incredible strength, and is almost impossible to harm. He is friends with all the characters, especially Invisigal.

Other Characters

In addition to the main characters, the game features many other episodic heroes.

  • Brainteaser: A supervillain with high intelligence who appears in episode four, Reform. He offers Robert to answer riddles, or the hero can send characters with increased stamina and agility.
  • Charles Kingsley: A journalist specializing in superheroes. In the first chapter, after the destruction of Mecha-Man, he asked Robert provocative questions, for which the hero might beat him up.
  • Granny: The owner of a donut shop who decided that Invisigal was in cahoots with Lightningstruck because she once robbed his shop.
  • Lightningstruck: A bandit wielding handheld electric guns. Thanks to his capture, Invisigal moved up from the bottom of the SRS hero rankings.
  • Toxic: This character appears in the first scene of the opening chapter. In the guise of a bandit, he gives away the location of Shroud’s base. Next time, he transforms into a man with a body made of green poisonous substance. He is the villain’s right-hand man and is apprehended with the other villains in the finale.

SDN

Superhero Dispatch Network is a global organization that unites all supers into teams. The company’s mission is to monitor the activities of organized criminal groups and respond promptly to disturbances, as well as assist international and local law enforcement agencies.

Some SDN branches have a rehabilitation program for former villains, allowing yesterday’s criminals to avoid punishment and get on the path to redemption. This is how the Phoenix team was formed, but due to the specifics of the squad, dispatchers could not cope with working with them and quickly quit. Flambae burned one of the operators’ cars. That’s why Blonde Blazer decided to hire former superhero Robert Robertson as a dispatcher so that the head office would not shut down the program in Torrance.
