Dispatch is an atmospheric interactive movie where the player takes on the role of a dispatcher for a superhero service and influences the fate of Robert Robertson. The final eighth episode, Unity, offers several possible endings depending on the choices made, the level of trust from the heroes, and the overall course of the investigation. In this guide, we’ll break down all available episode endings: we’ll tell you whether Shroud’s life can be spared, how to increase trust with Invisigal and Blonde Blazer, and whether there’s a way to protect Sonar and Coupé from trial for the destruction of Torrance.

How to Get the Ending

Completing the game will take about three hours. To reach the ending, you need to finish eight episodes. The events of the final chapter will be affected by key choices made regarding the characters Shroud, Invisigal, Blonde Blazer, Sonar, and Coupé.

The final episode, Unity, ends when the main villain Shroud and his gang attack the branch of the superhero dispatch service. His goal is to get the astral pulsator and kill Mecha-Man. The device belonged to Robert Robertson, but he lost it along with the suit in the first chapter, Transition. In act six, Chain Links, Royd discovered the location of the gadget. Then Invisigal infiltrated the ship and stole the device.

Invisigal stole the device, gave the villain an empty box, and kept it for herself, but didn’t tell Robert about it. As a result, she confesses that she was the reason the hero lost his suit, but now she has feelings for him. That’s why she comes to the SRS to help the Phoenix team return the astral pulsator.

Shroud is driven by an old grudge against Robert’s father, with whom he once worked. Moreover, the astral pulsator greatly enhances his superpowers and those of his gang. That’s why he caused chaos throughout the city to attack the SRS, kill Mecha-Man, and get the gadget.

The final episode raises the following plot questions:

  1. Will Shroud survive?
  2. Who will Robert date?
  3. What will become of Invisigal?
  4. Will Sonar/Coupé be forgiven?

In the next sections, we’ll describe in detail how each storyline can end.

Shroud

The battle with the Red Circle gang ends with the Phoenix team joining forces and fighting back. As a result, the mechanical spider is destroyed. Shroud survives, takes Robert’s dog hostage, and demands the astral pulsator from him. In any case, the gadget causes a critical error, and the villain loses his superpowers.

In the end, Robert faces a choice: kill Shroud or spare him. This decision determines how the story of the hero’s personal hatred for the man who killed his father and destroyed the Mecha-Man suit ends. Moreover, this event will happen in front of all the main characters, and they will remember this choice.

Invisigal

The ending of the game can be influenced by Invisigal. Everything depends on her relationship with Robert. This is affected by the decisions made during previous episodes. In the following list, we’ll note the main events that impact the relationship between the characters.

  1. Episode 2: First Day: Report to Blonde Blazer at the end of the workday.
  2. Episode 3: Routine: Conversation with Blonde Blazer about Invisigal at the end of the shift.
  3. Episode 4: Reform: Decision to go to the movies with Invisigal or Blonde Blazer. Only affects the romantic relationship.
  4. Episode 5: Team Spirit: Revealing Robert Robertson’s identity.
  5. Episode 7: Retrospective: Phoenix team demands Invisigal’s removal from the squad. Decision to forgive her for the destruction of Mecha-Man. Attempt to get closer to Robert (affects only the romance).
  6. Episode 8: Unity: Decision to leave her tied up or set her free.

Invisigal suffers from asthma, and to use her ability, she needs to hold her breath. Shroud has technology that eliminates the symptoms of the disease. That’s why she was part of the Red Circle gang. Then, on the villain’s orders, she infiltrated the SRS to manipulate Robert and obtain the astral pulsator.

But while working with Robert, she developed feelings for him and realized she could become friends with a human. That’s why on the ship she stole the pulsator and gave Shroud an empty case. But for a long time, she couldn’t decide what to do with it. So the most important decision will come when the team demands her expulsion.

If throughout the game Robert treats her dismissively and shows no trust, then in the end she will personally kill Shroud. Afterwards, Invisigal will disappear and leave for an unknown destination, symbolizing her loss of faith in another life.

Therefore, to give Robert the chance to decide Shroud’s fate himself, you need to at least build a friendly relationship with her. In this case, when the villain reveals the truth about Invisigal, she will disappear and stand between the hero and the opponent, who will fire a revolver. The bullet will pass through the girl’s body, after which Mecha-Man will attack the antagonist. Then, at the end of the chapter, medics will take her away on a stretcher to an ambulance.

In addition, you can romance her. If the hero went to the movies with her and got close, in the middle of episode eight they will kiss when Robert escorts Invisigal to the ambulance.

Blonde Blazer

The relationship between Robert and Blonde Blazer does not have a significant impact on the ending of the final episode. If the hero pursued a romantic relationship with her, they will kiss before a joint photo shoot.

To achieve this, you need to kiss her in the first chapter and go to dinner with her at the end of the Reform episode. In addition, you need to choose dialogue options that establish a warm relationship with Blonde Blazer.

Fired Hero

At the end of episode three, Routine, by Blonde Blazer’s order, you must fire one of the heroes: Sonar or Coupé. In the final chapter, Unity, the fired character will appear on Shroud’s side and will set off explosions all over Torrance. After the battle with the Red Circle, you will have the opportunity to decide the traitor’s fate: forgive or spare them.

During the last shift, a persistent event called Attack on Sonar/Coupé will occur. Also, in the upper right corner, a health bar will appear, which decreases with each successful request processed. When the HP bar drops to a minimum, the lights in the SRS will go out and the battle with Shroud will begin. The same will happen if you fail to stop the traitor in time. In this case, most of Torrance will be destroyed, and in the finale, you will not be able to save Sonar/Coupé.

Endings

Summing up all possible endings of the final episode, several conclusions can be drawn.

  • Bad ending: Robert failed to build a good relationship with Invisigal, and she killed Shroud. The fired hero destroyed most of the city, so they will not escape punishment.
  • Neutral ending: Invisigal decided to leave the Red Circle gang for good. Robert could not forgive the villain and strangled Shroud.
  • Good ending: Robert spared Shroud and managed to build a good relationship with Invisigal. The Phoenix team managed to stop the traitor in time, and the hero spared them.

As for romantic relationships, the hero can remain single. If desired, it is possible to romance Invisigal or Blonde Blazer. It does not matter who Robert dates; this will not affect the events of the final episode.
